Leslee Gillett

5th Grade

My name is Lesley Gillett, and I am beyond excited to call San Antonio Elementary my new home. I have been teaching for close to 10 years. Teaching has remained one of my biggest passions. I completed my undergraduate degree from Cal Poly.   Afterwards, I studied abroad in Costa Rica to learn Spanish. I then completed my graduate work paired with my Multiple Subject Teaching Credentials from the University of La Verne. I completed my student teaching assignments in Templeton in the 2nd grade and 5th/6th grade combo at Pleasant Valley Elementary School. My first teaching job was as an ELD Teacher with the Paso Robles District at Winifred Pifer Elementary School in 4th and Kindergarten.  My first self-contained teaching assignment was in a one-room school-house in Parkfield.  The last three years I have been teaching 5th grade at Del Rey Elementary School in King City.

When I am not teaching, I am spending time with my almost five year old son, Colton.

I enjoy the outdoors, gardening, spending time with family, and horseback riding.

Lockwood is a place that holds deep roots and family history. I grew up in Lockwood and attended San Antonio Elementary as a Wildcat from kindergarten through 8th grade. This is one of the most exciting parts about being a WildCat again, but now as a teacher. I am beyond excited and grateful to be a part of the San Antonio Elementary Family/team and community.
